Brad Gauthier


Partner

Brad’s educational background includes studies in commerce, marketing and culinary arts. Throughout his career he has worked for multiple start-ups, a global staffing provider, and is currently a Co-founder and Managing Partner for Grid Group. Originally from Ancaster ON, he has lived in Calgary AB since 2011. Outside of the office, most of his time is dedicated to travel, health and fitness and family and friends.

Adam Ludgate


Technology Advisor

Adam is a technology leader with two decades of experience working with a variety of technology companies, from large corporations down to very small start-ups. He has worked in both Canada and in the UK, leading local and remote technical teams spread across the globe. Adam’s primary focus from an advisory perspective is on oversight of technical execution based on product requirements, following best practices using agile methodologies. He is a Computer Science graduate with a very hands-on focus on product development from a technical perspective. 

Laura Geissler


Manager of Business Operations

Laura holds a Bachelor of Science degree and began her career in the Calgary IT industry with a focus in Office Administration and Human Resources. As Manager of Business Operations, she manages all internal processes and administrative tasks to support the Recruitment Team. Laura values innovation, a balance of working hard and healthy living, and believes that every day can be improved with tacos. 

Laura Oancia


Operations Analyst

Laura (A.K.A. Loo) holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria and is native to Vancouver, BC. She began her career in the professional services industry providing operational, HR, and administrative support to accounting firms. As Operations Analyst, Loo supports the Recruitment team and helps to tackle big-picture projects. She is passionate about process improvement, professional development, and quality time with her husband, friends, and family.

Sharon Foster


Operations - Accounting Lead

Sharon grew up in Toronto, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Queen’s University in Kingston, and has lived in Barrie, Ontario for the past 20 years. After University, she honed her Administration skills as Executive Assistant, first in the “brick and mortar” world and then establishing her own company as a Virtual Assistant. Outside of the office, she loves to read, travel, bicycle, and spend time with family & friends.

Bennett Royer


Director, Talent Advisory

Bennett holds a Bachelor of Finance and a Master of Organizational Psychology. He has a passion for helping build diverse and inclusive teams and brings 10 years of management consulting experience in both executive search and financial services. Today, he specializes in supporting clients with recruitment and talent advisory in the Technology, Financial Services, Management Consulting, Renewables, Energy, and Agribusiness sectors. Bennett has spent several years living in both Vancouver and Michigan but has always come home to Calgary where he was born and raised. Outside of the office he spends most of his time with his wife, Cathryn, young son, Sullivan and dog, Harpo. 

Gerrad Duggan


Recruiter

Gerrad comes from a “people-focused” background having experience in both the sales & recruitment side of the staffing industry, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Commerce in HR Management. Since 2018, his time has been spent in the Calgary & Edmonton marketplace supporting clients from diverse backgrounds in energy, construction, IT and education. Outside of work, you can often find him on a mountain side, at a concert venue or the movie theater.

Shahir Jinnah


Recruitment Lead

Shahir has a degree in Commerce specializing in Business Technology Management from the University of Calgary. He has been working in the recruitment industry since 2017 and has since worked on a wide range of Senior and Director level roles that focus on Information Technology, Oil & Gas, Management Consulting, and more. In his free time, you can find Shahir cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs or tuning in for NFL Sundays. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, finding ways to mix in fitness-related activities along with some beers on the patio.

Kaila Hoar


Managing Partner

Kaila studied Commerce before beginning her career with a national staffing firm and then honing her Operational Technology expertise with a boutique consultancy. She is Grid Group’s Managing Partner, playing a critical role in defining organizational strategy and brokering impactful relationships. She believes in a “partnership through integrity” mentality and wants to live in a world filled with innovative businesses and books that come bundled with dark chocolate.

Dan Hewko


Managing Partner

Dan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (accounting and finance) degree. He started his career as an ERP consultant and merged into the staffing world, and is currently a Co-founder and Managing Partner of Grid Group. Originally from Wetaskiwin AB, Dan has spent 16 years in Victoria BC before making Calgary AB his home in 2006. Outside of the office you can find Dan inventing a game with his three kids, planning a Disneyland trip and cheering on the Red Sox and Edmonton Oilers.

Shaharyar Ahmad


Recruiter

Shaharyar holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Energy Management. He has a passion for connecting the right people and has worked in a variety of industries including recruitment, fintech, cleantech, and insurance. Today, he is a recruiter at the Grid Group, supporting top organizations with recruitment and talent advisory services. Shaharyar has lived in Singapore, Vancouver, and Montréal, but has always held a soft spot for Calgary – the city where he was raised. Shaharyar lives a life filled to the brim with friendship, adventures, sci-fi novels, and music.
